Your Shenzhen shopping host
Who accompanies you, how the work is prepared in advance, and how to reach meBrandy Yang
Shopping host & itinerary consultant · Shenzhen, China
I live and work in Shenzhen. My work is to accompany international visitors through the city's wholesale districts, specialist clinics and appointment-based services, and to make certain that the specification you are quoted, the figure written on the receipt and the item you carry home are the same thing.
An engagement begins before you travel. I establish which categories you need, how many days you have, roughly what you intend to spend and who is travelling with you, then research reference prices, specifications, supplier options, tax refund ports and transfer times. What you receive is a written itinerary with each stop sequenced and timed.
Once you arrive, I accompany you throughout: I request the specification in Mandarin, obtain a second quotation for the same item, negotiate on price, and read the receipt before payment is made. Follow-up questions after you return home, and shipping arrangements where they are required, form part of the same engagement.
Before you arrive
A single written brief is sufficient to begin: what you intend to buy, how many days you have, an approximate budget, and who is travelling with you.
Research in advance
Reference prices, product specifications, supplier options, tax refund eligibility at your departure port, and realistic transfer times between districts — checked before you land.
Itinerary design
The stops are placed in the order that minimises travel, each with an allotted duration, and the tax refund stop is set against the port you actually leave from.
On-the-ground accompaniment
Interpretation, price negotiation, specification and goods verification, and a review of the receipt and refund documentation before any payment is made.
After your trip
Follow-up questions, documentation requests, and shipping or consolidation arrangements handled after you return home.
Fees: Fees are quoted individually, based on the length of the day, the categories involved and the amount of preparation required. You will receive a written quote before anything is confirmed.
